Charlotte McLeod reports that uranium remains a hot commodity after a significant (albeit small) price increase in 2018, and many experts expect further gains this year. Speaking with the Investing News Network at the recent Vancouver Resource Investment Conference, Niko Cacos, president and CEO of Blue Sky Uranium said he feels optimistic. “Yes we do expect to see that price continue to move,” he commented on the sidelines of the show. “And I think that my prediction — because I’m not in the uranium prediction business — is corroborated by a lot of the analysts who do this forecasting.”

Blue Sky is focused on its Amarillo Grande uranium project in Argentina, which Cacos said is “not just a new deposit, but an entire district of uranium.” The company is currently working on a preliminary economic assessment (PEA), with news soon to be released. Cacos concludes that investors should watch Blue Sky and other small-cap uranium companies in 2019. “The market … is beginning to recognize the larger producers right now — that the price of uranium has been moving up and that we’re entering a uranium bull phase. As that trickles down … [to] … the smaller mining companies like Blue Sky I think we’re going to see tremendous moves in the market caps that we’ve got.” ...but we'll see, won't we?
