Reardon Environmental, Inc., now I2M-Reardon, is a Houston-based company that specializes in soil and groundwater remediation. The company has been remediating contaminated properties for more than ten years using innovative delivery systems capable of injecting liquid inoculants into soil to volatilize or break-down contaminants into harmless by-products.They indicate that they can reduce both the time and cost associated with clean-ups. Once the contaminated areas have been identified by employing the appropriate methods of investigation, their approach can avoid the costly dig and haul methods of cleanup by focusing on the specific contaminated zones. They then employ a remediation method suitable for attacking the specific contaminants. This often involves In Situ Chemical Oxidation (ISCO) but there are additional methods now under development that I2M-Reardon research personnel have been monitoring.
Reardon is equipped to handle a wide-range of contamination types .. from organics like petroleum and chlorinated hydrocarbons to metals such as lead, cadmium, zinc, arsenic, mercury and chromium, they indicate that they efficiently remediate the site to the required regulatory level. And, Reardon has been contracted in the past to clean up a variety of locales around the U.S., including refineries, service stations, dry cleaners and industrial areas.
Geoscience and engineering professionals of the I2M-Reardon team are involved in every step of the remediation process, from site characterization to identifying the horizontal and vertical extent of the contamination, combined with up-to-date remedial design. Reardon indicates that they have the field experience to attack the contaminant that clients can count on to destroy, break-up, alter, or to remove much of the contamination present down to or below concentrations required by regulatory and industry standards.
