Resource thumbnail Vancouver-based NexGen Energy has world-record results from four angled holes at the Rook I project in the Athabasca Basin. The holes were drilled in the A2 shear at the Arrow deposit. Drill hole AR-16-76c3 had perhaps the best results. It cut 74.0 meters at 10.25% U3O8 in the higher grade A2 sub-zone. This intersection also includes 50.0 meters at 15.05%, 11.5 meters at 49.53%, and 0.5 metres at 80.00%. Drill hole AR-16-78c1 intersected 37.5 meters at 12.94% U3O8. NexGen says the sub-zone is defined by extensive intersections of dense accumulations of massive to semi-massive pitchblende. The zone has been outlined using 22 holes, and the last four assays from them are pending. The spring program at Rook I includes three rigs drilling 7,500 meters. Preparations are underway for a larger summer drilling program to being shortly. Details about the geological conditions, mineralogical associations, and other features of the NexGen Arrow deposit can be found at www.NexGenEnergy.ca.
