Sharon Prager comments that some people think mining is the evil industry and NIMBY, and wonder why we cannot shut it all down and turn everything into parks and playgrounds, this while they are busy texting on their smart phones, carrying their tablets, using their electric cars, and flying to their latest vacation destination, never mind their homes, sports equipment, medical devices, food, cosmetics, the electricity that powers them all, and every single thing else taken for granted. They all come from the natural resources of the Earth, and in the future from the Moon, asteroids, etc.
