Thomas D. Schneid, the author of this book, is the Department of Safety & Security and Director of the graduate program and a tenured professor in the School of Safety, Security and Emergency Management in the college of Justice and Safety at Eastern Kentucky University. He opines that in rapidly changing workplace of today, safety and loss prevention professionals cannot always go by the book for the answers to new and unique problems and issues. When there is no tried-and-true solution to a problem, safety and loss prevention professionals must think outside of the box of conventional solutions and develop new and creative solutions.

This text, Creative Safety Solutions, Second Edition, stimulates creative thinking by identifying some of the new programs, new ideas, and new solutions being tried by other professionals in the field. By thinking outside of the box, the book will help you create new ways to improve the workplace. Dr. Schneid has authored and or co-authored numerous texts on including Corporate Safety Compliance - Law, OSHA and Ethics (2008). Americans With Disabilities Act - A Compliance Guide (1994).
