A one-of-a-kind collection of calibrated soil and sediment samples designed to help test your soil and sediment classification and texturing analysis in the field using - - Unified Soil (Sediment) Classification System - USDA Soil (Sediment) Textures The MIDWESTGEO JUNIOR SOIL KIT is comprised of 9 calibrated soil (sediment) samples that classify within the USDA textural classifications, but have also been classified according to the Unified Soil Classification System. Two sand samples exist in this kit, so you will receive 8 samples of differing USDA textures. Sample textures vary between soil kits. However each kit is guaranteed to contain samples that classify as LEAN CLAY (CL), SILT (ML), WELL-GRADED SAND (SW) AND POORLY-GRADED SAND (SP). This unique collection of samples is classified using not only the USDA and USCS, but includes instructions and helpful hints for simplifying classification procedures in the field.
