Whether we like it or not, climatology has become bogged down in politics, and has been political for the past few years. The power groups backing energy resources all have strong political action programs to impact American opinion to such an extent that the actual technical and environmental merits or de-merits of using the various sources of energy have become foggy with their involvement, whether it involves wind, solar, geothermal, nuclear, natural gas, or other forms of energy.
The Gallup poll monitors opinions on a wide variety of topics. Whether or not the Gallup polls are valid is difficult to confirm but they seem to be the most appropriate of the lot, although they may lean to the left of the political spectrum on some subjects. We list here the Gallup Poll results for climate change.
