Incoming chairman of the Nuclear Energy Institute told industry leaders that three challenges exist that must be dealt with, such as

2. encouraging effective, efficient and consistent leadership by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, at the commission level and throughout the agency staff, and
3. ensuring that the total value proposition of nuclear energy is recognized in competitive electricity markets where some reactors are under severe economic pressure.
