This is a summary of industry practices and techniques to help environmental professionals and drillers enhance safety performance, environmental performance, and overall project quality. This document was produced under the guidance of the Safety Subcommittee to Professional Development of the National Ground Water Association (NGWA). Any updates and revisions are undertaken by the above mentioned subcommittee. This publication gives guidance to address some of the most common safety concerns that should be considered while performing drilling activities.
It is not intended to address every possible situation that may arise or every hazard which may come to exist during drilling activities.
