This bird study is an example of biased reporting to surve a purpose. The author is obviously pro-wind power and anti-nuclear and fossile-fuel electric power generation. For example, the author quotes a study of a wind farm was over a 312 year period and there may be as many as just under 1 billion birds killed every year by conventional electrical generation plants (including nuclear). He also says that birds learn to avoid the wind generating towers after a couple of years, but they're constantly flying into power plant cooling towers and tall buildings.
