The Thorium Energy Alliance (TEA) reported in late December 2023 that great progress towards prosperity via thorium and critical materials has been made!

Thorium-Driven Nuclear Power Plants of the Future

  • TEA Has applied for a License for the use and storage of thorium from the NRC,
  • TEA has several MOUs for thorium materials for use as catalysts and a component of fuel,
  • El Salvador set an example for the world by declaring a plan to bring nuclear to their people even though they already get up to 83% of their power from renewables,
  • TEA has been very well received at critical materials conferences, they are starting to understand that if we have no thorium policy we won’t have any critical materials,
  • Your gift supports education in the allied careers that are needed to enable a nuclear future,
  • We traveled to the first MSR workshop in person for the first time in 4 years,
  • Thorium alloys and catalysts are being developed and rediscovered because of our work and funding of research to revive these technologies,
  • Nucleation Capital, continues to be the leading path for individual investments in nuclear. We have pledged our own resources to make this happen, and
  • TEA has done all it to promote the nuclear companies best suited to deploy thorium as an important part of their reactors: Copenhagen Atomics – Curio – CCTE - Thorcon – Natura / NextLab at ACU.

We have to remind ourselves that progress is being made. That policy at the national level and at labs, Universities and now industry, has changed recently, and independent funding has grown; technology developers are embracing thorium – large corporations are seriously looking to deploy Thorium Nuclear.

Even the country of El Salvador – that has up to 83% renewables on their grid at times - has decided to be a leader of the deployment of thorium nuclear energy, and has chosen Thorium Energy Alliance to help lead their deployment of advanced thorium nuclear. The work of bringing thorium energy in developing countries with huge opportunities has begun!

By the way, because of the work of TEA, El Salvador is now the newest civilian nuclear nation. El Salvador will be the first western country to deploy thorium-fueled Molten Salt Reactors - this is all because of the early work from TEA that donors like you have made possible. Your support over all this time gives us the ability to rise above the friction and the little policy setbacks, and you let us see that, overall, the trend in this world is towards a better, cheaper, cleaner, safer fuel , abundant Energy and super advanced materials. And if we are lucky, it will be just enough to make the world a more livable and prosperous place for all.

Did you by any chance see our piece on why Thorium Energy Alliance is a ".COM" ? In short - We did not want to be a charity.
