Ghoneim and two co-authors reported in early 2021 that the natural radioactivity data revealed that eU reached up to 157.4, 1625 and 178 ppm in microgranite and dolerite dikes as well as japer vein, respectively, whereas the two-mica granite possesses the higher eTh-contents up to 53.8 ppm. Mineralogically, the two-mica granite is enriched in thorite, brockite and uranothorite, whereas uraninite and coffinite are recorded in dolerite, and the
latter one is recorded in microgranite, bostonite and jasper.

Primary uranium minerals as uraninite and coffinite could be a source for uranium enrichment and the formation of secondary uranium mineralization. Uranium mobilisation was active towards the two perpendicular shear zones having NNW-SSE and ENE-WSW rejuvenated trends. Successive hydrothermal alterations play their role in the formation of uranium ore deposits to be trapped in postgranitic dikes.

The authors concluded that the radiometric data revealed that eU reached up to 157.4, 162.5, 178 ppm in microgranite and dolerite dikes as well as jasper vein related to primary and secondary U-mineralisation while eTh reached up to 53.8 ppm in the two-mica granite owing to Th mineralization.

Mineralogically, thorite, brockite and uranothorite are represented in the two-mica granite. Coffinite, meta-autunite, meta-ankoleite and kasolite are presented in microgranite dike. Uraninite and coffinite are recorded in dolerite dike, but the latter mineral is recorded in microgranite and bostonite dikes as well as jasper vein. Uranophane is also recorded in jasper vein, while meta-autunite is presented in microgranite and dolerite dikes and jasper vein.

Uranium mobilization was active towards the two perpendicular shear zones having ENE-WSW and NNW-SSE. Hydrothermal alterations play their role in remobilizing the uranium ore deposits to be trapped in post-granitic dikes and jasper vein.
