The AAPG Division of Professional Affairs was established in 1965 to strengthen the professional status of petroleum geologists. Board certification is provided through the DPA and is required for membership. The benefits include access to The Correlator, a newsletter for DPA members; information following state and federal legislation activity and other benefits.
