For historical context, the Ground Water Protection Council and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, in cooperation with State and Federal Agencies, Tribal and Local Governments, citizen groups, and industry co-sponsored this event and was held on September 22 - 26, 2001 in Reno, Nevada. That year's conference focused on aspects related to integration of the Safe Drinking Water Act and the Clean Water Act programs.
The conference included 331 pages of presentations, panel discussions, posters, abstracts, and exhibits related to technical advancements and practical approaches to underground injection practices, ground water - source water protection, as well as ground water monitoring and remediation.
