The Division of Environmental Geosciences (DEG) offers AAPG members an opportunity to increase their knowledge about the environment and the petroleum industry. DEG approaches basic environmental issues that impact the energy industry from the perspective of geological, geochemical, geophysical and hydrogeological principles and methodologies that are applied to understanding and then solving the environmental issues typically involved in energy exploration and production. This includes conventional, unconventional, and alternative energy resources.
