The Chief Editor of the I2M Web Portal asked to include a post-OBIT comment in the I2M Web Portal database on the passing of Frank H. T. Rhodes:
"I attended a gradate-level course on Advanced Paleontology presented by Dr. Rhodes when he was a Visiting Professor at the Ohio State University in 1965. I was the only undergraduate in the class, for some reason that escapes me now. What I do remember is that he was the best college professor I ever had, although there we many good ones (such as John J. W. Rogers, etc) and more). So good, that I received my first "A" in my geological courses while at OSU. I also received a number of "As" in the German courses I took. But upon learning of Dr. Rhodes passing, I felt the loss and wanted to advise the world of the Internet that he was perhaps the last of a dying breed of "classic" English (from Wales) professors who made America better in many ways. Thanks Dr. Rhodes (and Dr. Rogers) for passing through my life. Dr. Rhodes' OBIT only begins to tell the story of his accomplishments."
